Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work on 4th Floor (Med Surg Specialty) and 5th Floor (Med Surg) in a 60-bed unit
* Patient ratios of 5:1 on 4th Floor and 6:1 on 5th Floor
* Weekend shifts are required with no on-call responsibilities
* Telemetry experience required
* Med Surg experience required
* Cardiac recognition and IV starts preferred
* Strong time management skills preferred
* Work with equipment including remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps
* EMR system: Alterra (Allscripts)
* Perform procedures including abdominal surgeries (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy), diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart caths, run offs, gastric sleeves, total hip/knee/shoulder replacements, and orthopedic trauma repairs
* Mandatory float as needed to inpatient rehab, ED, and PCU within scope of practice and skill level
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Dress code: Black scrubs transitioning to Medical City Blue
* Team-oriented, positive, and flexible personality preferred
