Job Details:

* Day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* Shift scheduling is flexible with requests accepted based on department needs
* Typically 2-3 days off provided when switching from nights to days
* 39-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
* Common patient diagnoses include cardiac, neurology, and post-operative med/surg cases
* Required to titrate drips including Heparin
* Respiratory therapy manages all respiratory needs - no ventilators on unit
* TelePacks used on unit with rhythm interpretation completed by ICU
* Charge nurse on each shift may take patient assignments at times
* Floating may be required to areas with medical patients only
* Downsizing/standby may occur
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* BSN not required
* Any scrub color accepted
* Required certification: BLS
