Job Details:

* Work Monday through Friday with primary shift hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; floating shifts may vary with possible hours of 6:30 AM?3:00 PM, 7:00 AM?3:30 PM, 7:30 AM?4:00 PM, 8:00 AM?4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM?5:00 PM
* No call required
* No weekend requirement
* Average daily census of 32 patients with 5 beds
* Must have travel experience; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (BSN)
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Parking is free and located next to the building
* Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs, including travel between the endoscopy area/GI lab and other MPU sites as needed
* Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of care specific to the endoscopy area/GI Laboratory, including conscious sedation
* Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and ability to identify dysrhythmias required
* Ability to assist physicians in performing procedures in the endoscopy area/GI Laboratory while practicing medical and surgical asepsis at all times
* Knowledgeable in pharmacology, drug interactions, and side effects
* Self-motivated with patient healthcare and patient privacy as main priorities
* Patient age groups served: Adults and Geriatrics
* Required skills include: administering and monitoring conscious sedation, airway management, colonoscopy, EGD, forceps, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, outpatient endoscopy center procedures, polyp snares, pre/post procedure care, recovering conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation, reversal agents, specimen handling and labeling, starting and maintaining IVs, and Versed administration
