Opportunity:

RN - Perioperative/Operating Room

Job Details:

* Provide care for perioperative patients using the nursing process including assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluation of interventions per patient outcomes
* Circulate in all specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental
* Scrubbing experience is highly encouraged
* May be required to work varied or irregular hours when on call
* Must be prepared to handle emergency cases on very short notice
* Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing and/or operating room experience required
* Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
* Valid RN license from any U.S. state, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory is acceptable
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
* PALS (AHA) required within 6 months of hire
* NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
* Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) must be completed within 1 year of hire
* Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 2 years of hire

Facility:

This JCAHO accredited health center provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western portion of two major Native American reservations. The facility offers a wide range of services including comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. With a bed capacity of 73, the organization supports a diverse team of medical providers including surgeons, internal medicine specialists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists.
