Opportunity:

Labor & Delivery RN

Job Details:

* Every other weekend schedule based on unit needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Patient ratio of 1:1-2
* Work settings include Antepartum, High Risk Antepartum, LDRP, Mother/Baby, and Level I Nursery
* Float within skillset between Antepartum, L&D, L&D PACU, and Postpartum as required
* EPIC charting system experience required
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* Must circulate for C-sections
* 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission; Pending State License accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM
* Must have supervisory reference at time of submission
* Winter holiday coverage required: must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years) as needed
* Clinical skills required include: amnioinfusion, high-risk deliveries, C-section circulation/scrub/recovery, forceps/vacuum extraction, hemorrhage/shock management, OB triage, pre-term labor, external/internal fetal monitoring, fetal heart rate pattern recognition and treatment, spiral electrode placement, IUPC placement/calibration, blood/blood product administration, anticoagulation, antihypertensives, antiseizure medications, insulin drips, Pitocin/oxytocin, prostaglandins, neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessment, breastfeeding/lactation support, and postpartum hemorrhage management
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and adults

This facility is a 597-bed academic teaching hospital and one of the largest hospitals in the state. The Labor & Delivery Maternal Child Pavilion provides care for both low and high-risk patients, with maternal-fetal medicine services and a Level III NICU available for newborns requiring advanced care. Antepartum and Mother/Baby services support high-risk pregnancy management, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and family-centered bonding, including the Golden Hour following delivery. The facility is part of the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey.
