Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac ICU

Job Details:

* 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to ICUs and Cardiac Telemetry units
* Standby call required with no call pay
* One pre-approved time off request permitted
* Strong cardiac ICU experience required (CCU or CVICU preferred)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Care for cardiac and medical intensive care patients as well as step-down overflow patients
* Experience with advanced cardiac devices required including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and Transcutaneous Ventricular Pacing (TVP)
* Experience with ventilator management, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring required
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Must float to other units and campuses as needed based on census
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, central line care and management, Impella, IABP, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR), pre/post cardiac cath and intervention, sheath removal, care of ventilated patients, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation
* Additional preferred skills include: ECMO, ICP monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, TAVR, procedural sedation, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
* 19-bed unit caring exclusively for adult patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams
