Open Position: PT - Physical Therapist Acute Care

Opportunity:

Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab / Acute Care (Hybrid)

Job Details:

* 40-hour per week schedule, Monday through Friday
* No weekends required, though Saturday shifts are available if desired
* Hybrid role requiring ability to float between Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care coverage
* 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Orthopedic experience preferred with comfort caring for patients across the continuum of inpatient care
* Patient populations include Medical-Surgical, post-operative, and ICU
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include total joint replacements (hips, knees, shoulders), fractures with ORIF, occasional CVA, general medical conditions, and cardiac conditions
* Skills required include acute care, orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, evaluation, gait belt use, therapeutic exercise, patient and family education, plan of care development, and discharge planning
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
* Required certification: BLS
* Indiana state license required prior to start
* Local candidates accepted; those living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
* Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract

This facility is a community hospital offering a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation and acute care environment. The unit operates with 26 beds and supports a daily census of 18 patients. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support services including respiratory care, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for both patients and clinical staff.
