Infection Preventionist

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Work independently in an infection prevention role
* Minimum 1 year of current infection prevention experience required
* Acute care experience is required
* Role does not require an RN license - degree in Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology, or related health science field accepted
* House Supervisor candidates will be considered with infection prevention experience
* EPIC charting system experience highly preferred
* CIC certification required
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours policy)
* Scrub color: Royal Blue

* Required skills include: Antibiotic Stewardship, MDRO management, bloodborne pathogen exposure protocols, CDC guidelines, CDI, CMS State Operations Manual, device reprocessing, environmental and equipment cleaning, ESBL, hand hygiene, healthcare acquired infections (HAIs), infection trend identification, illness reporting, infection prevention employee education, influenza protocols, isolation and reverse isolation practices, MRSA screening, NHSN reporting, National Patient Safety Goals, PPE, respiratory and cough etiquette, RSV, sharps injury prevention, surgical site infection (SSI) surveillance, TB screening and masking, The Joint Commission standards, transmission-based precautions, and vaccine administration
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities
