RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed is an option
* Work on a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit on the 7th floor
* Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT
* 3 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule; Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for days
* Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements required
* Experience with stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips required
* May float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU
* Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allyn Vitals machines
* EMR system: Meditech
* Required certification: ACLS
* NIH certification preferred
* Grey scrubs required for RNs
* Fast-paced, high energy individual with a strong sense of teamwork preferred

The unit operates with a robust team of charge nurses, RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians to ensure high-quality patient care. The facility utilizes modern medical equipment and an established electronic medical records system to support clinical operations across multiple departments.
