Opportunity:

Echocardiogram Technician

Job Details:

* Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* Full-time position
* Handle 5-8 cases per day with an average of 5 scans per day
* Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound procedures per physician orders
* Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to obtain diagnostic-quality images
* Support OR, inpatient, outpatient, and cath lab departments - no floating required
* OR/intraoperative TEE experience required
* Weekend call required every 3-4 weeks depending on staffing
* One week of on-call required every 3-4 weeks depending on staffing
* Wear hospital laundered scrubs for OR; navy or black scrubs otherwise
* Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience required
* Graduate of an accredited echocardiogram, cardiovascular sonography, or equivalent program required
* One of the following registrations is required: Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI, or Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
* BLS certification required
* Temp to perm option available

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostics department supporting a wide range of care settings including the operating room, inpatient, outpatient, and catheterization lab. The facility adheres to established accreditation standards including IAC and ASE guidelines, and maintains a collaborative clinical environment where echocardiography technicians work closely with cardiologists and referring providers to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic support.
