RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* Night shift position on a 37-bed Trauma, Oncology, and General Medical Surgical unit
* Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4/5 on days and 1:5/6 on nights
* Nurse aide support available at a 1:12 ratio
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
* Minimum of six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule
* 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
* Holiday shifts required
* Call or standby requirement determined by Nurse Manager
* Floating may be required within Zone 3 based on department needs and may include ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
* Acute care nursing experience required
* Required to be competent in reading telemetry strips independently using Philips Telemetry system, centrally monitored off the unit
* Drip management includes analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives; titration of drips is not required
* Moderate oxygen needs managed on the unit
* Charting system: EPIC
* Navy blue scrubs required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
