RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Med/Surg Oncology unit located on the 4th floor of the main hospital
* Unit consists of 13 beds with a staff of 20
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 3 RNs
* Patient ratios are 5:1, sometimes 4:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
* Self-scheduling with commitment to work every other weekend
* Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg/Oncology hospital RN experience required
* BLS certification required
* ACLS preferred
* Chemotherapy Certification preferred
* Prior Meditech/CPN EMR experience preferred
* Perform and assist with chemotherapy procedures

Facility:

This facility is home to a 3-year-old oncology unit that is highly organized and maintains modern, well-functioning equipment including computers and vital sign machines in every room. The unit upholds exceptional patient care standards, boasting over 3 years without a CAUTI, over 4 months without a CLABSI, and over 1 year without a CDIFF acquired infection. The staff collectively brings over 160 years of experience, with a director who has been in her role for over 5 years, and the unit was proud to have a Daisy Award recipient last year.
