Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts required
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday shifts as needed
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* Will float between multiple ER satellite locations in the area including Goodyear, Camelback, Mesa, Glendale, and Surprise - schedule will be made in advance so location is known ahead of time
* Will be one of only 2 RNs on staff at satellite locations
* Vent capable position - must be comfortable working with ventilators
* Lab draws performed by ER staff
* No IV team on site
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Galaxy Blue
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* TNCC required; CPI preferred but not required
* BSN not required
* Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start with a maximum of 2 attempts
* Pass/fail SIMs Lab required on Day 1 of orientation including Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion - study guides provided with first day instructions
* Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week assignment, or up to 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates a network of emergency department satellite locations throughout the greater metropolitan area, providing comprehensive emergency services to surrounding communities. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic medical records system and maintains high clinical standards, requiring nurses to demonstrate competency in key skills including sterile field technique, Foley catheter insertion, and port-a-cath management. The organization supports travelers with orientation materials and study guides to ensure a successful transition into the role.
