Rapid Admit Unit/ER Holding Days

Job Details:

* Day shift position on an ER Holding unit with Medical/Surgical level of care
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 48 hours straight time
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 12 patients with 12 rooms and 8 beds
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* 2 years of experience preferred; will consider 1+ years of experience
* First-time travelers welcome
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
* Required skills include: Blood Product Administration, Chest Tubes, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), CVA care, Feeding Tube Care and Management, Heparin, Insulin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC Line Management, Starting and Maintaining IVs, Substance Withdrawal, Telemetry Remote Monitoring, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs
