Opportunity:

Mammography Technologist

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM as needed
* Every other Saturday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM required; a weekday off will be provided when Saturday is scheduled
* Schedule posted one week in advance
* Weekend coverage required with approximately 2-3 Saturday shifts per month
* Float required between 4 sites: Shoreline Medical Center (Guilford), North Haven Medical Center (North Haven), Long Wharf Medical Center (New Haven), and Smilow Cancer Hospital (New Haven)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Cross training as Breast Sonographer preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ARRT M, ARRT R, BLS, Breast Ultrasound
* Required skills: 3D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Digital Mammography, Hologic 3D, Radiation Safety, Screening Mammograms, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Universal Precautions/Core Measures
* Experience with Hologic equipment required
* Siemens experience preferred
* Scrub color: Teal tops and bottoms
* Patients served are adults
* Interdisciplinary support available through Radiology
* Guaranteed hours provided
* Pre-approved time off exceeding 7 days requires approval

Facility:

This is a short-term acute care facility and Level I Trauma Center with 1,567 total staffed beds. The organization operates multiple outpatient medical centers across the region, providing comprehensive imaging and cancer care services. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and is supported by an interdisciplinary radiology team.
