Opportunity:
RN - PACU
Job Details:
* Variable day shifts working 8-hour and/or 12-hour shifts with majority of hours between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM
* Rotating call schedule with approximately 2 weeknights per month and up to every 4th weekend
* 36-40 hours per week
* Occasional night shifts required
* Never work alone - buddy RN support provided on unit
* Care for all surgical specialties including adults and pediatrics, ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and IR patients post-procedure
* Must be able to care for pediatric patients (average 5 to 15 kids per day) and high acuity patients
* Nurse to patient ratio follows ASPAN Standards: 1:1 or 2:1
* Work in an 18-bay Phase I PACU and 14-bay Phase I PACU across two floors at a Trauma Level 1 facility
* May float between campuses for Phase I PACU coverage
* PACU only position - no pre-op responsibilities
* Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
* Critical care experience preferred
* Large hospital (250+ beds) experience required
* Acute/hospital experience required - outpatient surgery center experience will not be considered
* Equipment used includes Epic charting, AcuDose Medication Dispensing, Phillips monitors, vents, and BiPap
* Hospital-provided scrubs required
* BSN not required
* North Dakota RN license required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)

This is a large acute care Trauma Level 1 hospital with a robust PACU department spanning two floors, featuring an 18-bay and a 14-bay Phase I PACU. The facility serves a wide range of surgical specialties and supports diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics. The department utilizes industry-standard equipment and follows ASPAN patient care standards, offering a dynamic and well-supported environment for experienced PACU nurses.
