Opportunity:

RN - ER/Critical Care

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required
* Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts during day and evening shift hours
* Sunday through Saturday work week
* Work independently in the ER with an ER physician available in the department 24/7 and House Supervisor as backup from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* House Supervisor backup holds ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
* Experienced ER nurse required - experience in a small ER is a plus
* Higher acuity or ICU experience preferred to assist with occasional outreach RN shifts
* EMS is not available at this location
* Unit consists of seven rooms and eight gurneys
* Floating to other units or departments is not required
* Charting system: EPIC with computer charting covered during orientation
* Equipment utilized: Omnicell and MediTech for order entry
* Dress code: Scrubs or nursing uniforms, with most staff wearing scrubs
* BSN not required
* Oregon RN license must be in hand prior to starting assignment
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a dedicated emergency and critical care department staffed around the clock with a physician presence in the department at all times. The unit features seven rooms and eight gurneys, providing a close-knit environment where nurses work with a high degree of autonomy. The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic health record charting and supports staff with a House Supervisor available as backup during overnight hours.
