Hospice Nurse - Ferris Care Center

Job Details:

* Full-time role with an on-call requirement of 2 shifts per month
* Night shift position following orientation
* Orientation consists of 3 days from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM before transitioning to night shift schedule
* Provide intensive medical end-of-life care for patients in a home-like inpatient setting
* Deliver comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to patients and families
* Educate and support caregivers to build confidence in caring for their family members
* Help patients identify and achieve their personal goals of care
* Apply strong generalist knowledge across all disease types with specialization in symptom management
* Demonstrate excellence in clinical assessment and critical thinking
* Work in an environment that fosters personalized, compassionate patient care

Facility:

This inpatient care center provides short-term hospice care in a warm, home-like environment where friends and family are welcome to be present during life's most difficult moments. The facility specializes in intensive medical end-of-life care for patients who are unable to remain at home but prefer a more comfortable alternative to hospitalization. The care team takes a holistic approach, offering comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to both patients and their families.
