Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts with varied start times between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
* Very infrequent weekend requirements
* No holiday requirements
* No on-call or standby requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Epic EMR proficiency required with experience within the last two years
* Experience with Varian equipment required; department uses Varian machines with Aria software (PACS)
* Treat an average of 40-45 patients per day across 2 treatment rooms
* Assist patients on and off the treatment table and provide support in starting and stopping the beam/treatment
* Work in a support role under the supervision of a Radiation Therapist lead
* Radiation Physician is in-house
* No IV starts required
* No floating or coverage of other areas required
* No RTO of more than 5 days
* No blocked scheduling requests
* Orientation consists of 1 NEO day, 1 modules/clinical day, and 1 day on the unit
* Self-provided black scrubs required
* Required certifications: BLS Certification, ARRT-T (Certified Radiation Therapist)

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 2 designation, providing comprehensive medical services to the surrounding community. The radiation therapy department is equipped with Varian technology and Aria software, supporting a high-volume treatment environment with dedicated leadership on each shift. The department maintains a structured and supportive environment with an in-house Radiation Physician available to assist the care team.
