Job Details:

* Day shift position in an Intensive Care Unit setting
* 36-bed ICU unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
* Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
* Common patient diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
* Respiratory therapy support available 24/7 with equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
* Hospitalist or intensivist in house at all times
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
* Minimum of six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule
* Holiday requirements apply
* Float requirements determined by nurse manager; if needed, may float within Zone 1 and will be first to float
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Must be within 60 miles of facility, driver's license must be submitted
* Must be in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Trauma Level 2 facility
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 36-bed intensive care unit staffed with hospitalists and intensivists in house around the clock. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering comprehensive critical care services supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy. The unit utilizes EPIC for electronic charting and provides a collaborative environment with both self-scheduling and block scheduling options to support its clinical staff.
