Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

* 13-week contract with 37.5 hours per week guaranteed
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Care for adult medical oncology patients including GI, GU, Breast, Head and Neck, Neuro, Thoracic, Lymphoma, and Leukemia diagnoses
* Care for GYN oncology and classic hematology patients including Sickle cell, anemia, factor 8, and ITP
* Perform and assist with Bone Marrow Biopsy in clinic
* GYN oncology procedures include paps, biopsy, colposcopy, and pelvic exams
* Required skills include accessing ports, central line blood draws, Neupogen administration, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care
* Additional skills required: port flush with or without blood collection, injections, and phlebotomy
* Epic charting system experience required
* BLS certification required
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required
* Must be available to float within skillset as needed
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays
* Facility sees approximately 50 patients per day across 12 rooms
* Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

This facility is a comprehensive oncology and hematology center offering specialized care across a broad range of cancer diagnoses and hematologic conditions. The unit supports adult patients through complex procedures and treatments, backed by a robust interdisciplinary team including pharmacy, social services, and phlebotomy support. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic health records system and maintains high standards for clinical competency and patient care.
