RN Med Surg (610)

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* Weekend rotating schedule required
* No on-call responsibilities
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* 13-week assignment length
* 2+ years of Med/Tele specialty experience required
* 2+ years of hospital experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Active Texas RN License required - temporary licenses are NOT accepted; Compact RN License must be active
* Meditech documentation system experience preferred
* Perform general Med Surg procedures including IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and ADL assistance
* Responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice including promoting a safe and therapeutic environment
* Must be competent in Patient Experience, AIDET, Bedside Reporting, Hourly Rounding, and Service Recovery Steps (LEARN)
* Floating required as needed
* Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs with facility embroidery - proof of purchase required
* Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails only - no artificial nails, gel, or next gen
* Hair must be neat, clean, no extreme styles or colors, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
