Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour shifts per week
* Every other weekend requirement
* Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:5 to 1:6 on nights
* May be required to float between PCU units or to med-surg floors
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Black scrubs required
* Experience with BiPAPs, high flow O2, Vapotherm, and multiple oxygen delivery systems required
* Experience with Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, and insulin drips required
* Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care required
* Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
* Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes required
* Procedures performed on unit include peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, Dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes, and wound vac troubleshooting
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Hourly rounding on days and every 2-hour rounding on nights required
* Must follow AIDET protocols and maintain communication boards
* Unit utilizes self-scheduling with 4-week schedule blocks

This medical center operates a Progressive Care Unit across two departments with a combined capacity of 59 beds.
