Opportunity:

RN - L&D / Postpartum

Job Details:

* Must work in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum departments
* 12-hour rotating night shifts
* 36 hours per week guaranteed with occasional labor call or overtime
* Schedule may include holidays and weekends
* Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
* Deliver direct patient care across the lifespan while promoting optimal health outcomes
* Provide culturally sensitive education to patients and families supporting health literacy and transitions of care
* Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and ancillary personnel
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
* Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and broader care team
* Float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation and training
* Skilled in all aspects of perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment
* Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance required
* Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
* Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
* OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months
* SAFER NM Technician certification preferred
