RRT NICU
Job Details:
* Position will float internally between departments - flexibility required
* No on-call required
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratios dependent on hospital acuity
* Must be able to work independently within a Level 3 NICU autonomously
* Must have skill and experience to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center
* All staff are considered VAR (variable) for the unit - shift assignment (days or nights) is typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required per facility
* NICU Level III or IV experience required
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Epic charting system experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT
* Key skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, CPAP, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing Arterial Blood Gases, ET Tube, Extubation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Interpretation of ABGs, Intubation Assist, NICU, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Umbilical Blood Gases, and Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation
* Bunnell Jet Ventilation experience in NICU highly preferred
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility - refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
Facility:
This large healthcare facility operates with a daily census of approximately 300 patients and 337 beds. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The facility serves a wide range of patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
