RRT - NICU

Job Details:

* Variable shift scheduling - manager makes every effort to maintain consistent shift assignment (days or nights) for the duration of the 13-week contract, with exact assignment typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance
* Float required between internal departments - must be flexible
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* No on-call required
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratios dependent on hospital acuity
* All staff, including agency staff, are considered VAR (variable) for the unit
* Must be able to work independently within a Level 3 NICU autonomously
* Must have skill and experience to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required for consideration
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* NICU Level III or IV experience required
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, Aspiration, Assist in high risk delivery, Bag and mask, BiPAP, Bronchoscopy, Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, Cystic fibrosis, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing arterial blood gases, ET Tube, Extubation, Fresh tracheostomy, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High frequency jet ventilator, High frequency oscillator, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal suctioning, Oscillating Ventilator, Oxygen tanks, Pneumonia, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Pulmonary Hygiene, Spirometry, Sputum specimen collection, Suctioning (ETT, NT), T-piece, Trach collar, Tracheostomy care/management, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Umbilical blood gases, and Weaning from mechanical ventilation
* Highly preferred experience with Bunnell Jet Ventilation in NICU
* Patient age groups served: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

This large healthcare facility operates a high-acuity environment with 337 beds and a daily census of 300 patients. The facility includes a Level 3 NICU and a Level 2 regional trauma center, providing comprehensive care across a wide range of patient populations from neonates to geriatrics. Robust interdisciplinary support is available, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary, and more.
