Open Position: RN - Med Surg Peds Adult

Travel RN | Med/Surg | Critical Access Hospital Experience | Vermont

Job Details:

* Flex day/night rotation with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
* Scheduled to fill staffing gaps on either day or night shift based on operational needs
* Assignments are blocked by week, meaning nurses work either days or nights for the entire week and do not alternate shifts within the same week
* Travelers start on Wednesdays; travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours during the week of orientation due to midweek start
* Primarily adult Med/Surg patients with occasional pediatric patients (not a dedicated pediatric unit; pediatric-only RNs will not be considered)
* Broad scope of practice including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
* Opportunity to serve as Charge RN when needed
* May be asked to act as a Preceptor
* Gain valuable Critical Access Hospital experience
* Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience required
* Charge RN experience preferred
* Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License required
* BLS (American Heart Association) required
* ACLS (American Heart Association) required
* Meditech experience preferred
* Personal transportation is required; public transportation is not available and the nearest major airport is approximately two hours away
* Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing accommodations

This facility is a 25-bed, independent, nonprofit Critical Access Hospital serving a historic rural region of Vermont. The hospital provides a broad range of services including primary and preventive care, surgical and specialty services, inpatient and outpatient care, and 24-hour physician-staffed emergency services.
