Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts available with shift times of 6:45 AM?7:15 PM, 9:00 AM?9:00 PM, and 1:00 PM?1:00 AM (arrive 15 minutes early)
* Self-scheduling available; block scheduling is not allowed
* Every other weekend required (nights: Friday?Saturday; days: Saturday?Sunday) with rotating holidays
* Minimum 1 year of ER experience required; travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, NRP, and TNCC
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with no logos; professional scrub jackets are allowed
* Work in a Level 2 Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke receiving capabilities
* 44-bed emergency department including 4 adult trauma bays and 1 pediatric trauma bay
* 11 fast-track beds available; travelers work in all areas including triage if comfortable
* Holds are managed in the ER and travelers will be required to take holds
* Nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1:4 with flexibility to 1:6 in psych and fast track areas
* Patient volume averages 100?105 patients per day with pediatric cases making up approximately 10%
* Common cases include chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, back pain, cough, and alcohol detox
* Nurses are responsible for reading their own tele strips and drawing labs when starting IVs
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required; acute care setting

This facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center equipped with STEMI and Stroke receiving capabilities, featuring a 44-bed emergency department with dedicated adult and pediatric trauma bays. The emergency department is supported by in-house 24/7 security, respiratory therapy around the clock, and a robust team including physicians, mid-level providers, paramedics, EKG technicians, and patient sitters. The facility maintains a separate locked psychiatric area with video-monitored rooms and offers comprehensive diagnostic support with on-site X-ray, CT, and laboratory services.
