Open Position: RN - PICU

Opportunity:

TRAVEL - RN - CVPICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* 48-hour weekly guarantee
* 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
* 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for critical care
* Work on a 10-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU unit partnering with the PICU
* Day shift includes 1 Charge RN with RN staff adjusted to volume
* Provide post-op care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
* Perform moderate sedation procedures
* Utilize equipment including Philips monitors, Med Fusion and Baxter pumps
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Cardiac Critical Care experience greater than 2 years required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
* Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT skills preferred
* ECMO bedside experience preferred
* Must be flexible, organized, and a strong communicator

Facility:

This facility is home to a renowned Pediatric Cardiac ICU and serves as the ECMO Center of the hospital, supporting medical neonates and complex cardiac patients. The unit utilizes advanced equipment including the Centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun to support its complex patient population. The RN team averages 10 years of nursing experience and maintains a high engagement score and culture of safety. The physician team is comprised of board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists committed to delivering compassionate critical care in partnership with nursing staff.
