Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Patient ratios of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis
* Float required
* Minimum 18 months of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Epic charting system experience required and must be noted in work history
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* CPI certification preferred
* Scrubs not provided - any color accepted
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tubes, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, pacemaker management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac, and additional telemetry and medical-surgical skills

Facility:

This facility is a large inpatient telemetry unit with 75 beds and a daily census of 69 patients. The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretaries, and more. The unit primarily focuses on general medical-surgical patient diagnoses and maintains consistent staffing ratios across all shifts.
