Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2739.40

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg / OB

Job Details:

* 48 hours per week working 12-hour shifts
* May consider straight days or straight nights - candidate's shift preference should be noted upon submission
* Every other weekend and holiday required
* 3 call shifts required in a 13-week contract
* Float between OB and Med Surg units
* 25-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3 to 4 to 1 for Med/Surg depending on census and acuity
* Perform Med Surg and OB nursing duties
* Must be able to function independently in the ER and in the Med Surg unit with up to 5 patients
* Charting system: EPIC
* Equipment utilized: Sanford One Charge, Pyxis
* Training provided: EPIC computer training, 1 day of OB training, and 1 day of Med Surg training
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs, no logos; white may be worn underneath uniform or white lab coat
* Must badge in and out at the facility
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Minimum 6 months of Med Surg experience in the past year required
* Minimum 6 months of OB experience in the past year required
* Required certifications: BLS (required before start), ACLS (required before start), NRP (required)
* TNCC preferred
* BSN not required
* Valid state nursing license required

This acute care facility provides comprehensive medical services including Med Surg and OB nursing care. The facility operates a 25-bed unit and utilizes modern technology including EPIC for electronic charting and Pyxis medication management systems.
