Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with available shift times including days (7:00 AM?7:00 PM), mids (various start times), and nights (7:00 PM?7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required
* No on-call responsibilities
* 1 holiday requirement per contract
* RTO approval of up to 7 days available
* Patient ratio of 1:4, set up in pods with 8 patients per 3 nurses
* Care for a variety of patient types including geriatric, abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric, respiratory, and approximately 15% pediatric patients
* Perform skills including TNK, conscious sedation, chest tubes, and central lines
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, NIHSS
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required; 5 years preferred
* Must be proficient with EPIC EMR (required), Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing
* Scrub color: Any color, professional
* Free parking available on site
* No floating required

Facility:

This 123-bed community hospital operates as a Level 3 Trauma Center and features a fully equipped emergency department with 21 beds, 8 hallway beds, 5 fast track beds, and 4?12 outpatient overflow beds. The facility offers 24/7 support including charge nurses, hospitalists, receptionist/HUC coverage, respiratory therapy, and bedside and nurse station telemetry monitoring. ER techs are phlebotomy certified, and a VAT team is available Monday through Friday. The emergency department fosters a strong team culture focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience.
