Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with available shift times including days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), mids (varied start times), and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required
* 1 holiday requirement per contract
* No on-call responsibilities
* RTO approvals of up to 7 days available
* Patient ratio of 1:4, structured in pods with 8 patients between 3 nurses
* Treat a diverse patient population including geriatric, abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric, respiratory, and approximately 15% pediatric patients
* Skills required include TNK, conscious sedation, chest tubes, and central lines
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
* 5 years of experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Scrub color: Any color, professional

Facility:

This is a 123-bed community hospital operating as a Level 3 Trauma Center. The emergency department features 21 beds, 8 hallway beds, 5 fast track beds, and 4-12 outpatient overflow beds. The facility provides robust support including 24/7 charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, receptionist/HUC coverage, and telemetry monitoring both at bedside and at the nurse's station. ER technicians are phlebotomy certified, and a VAT team is available Monday through Friday. The team is known for strong collaboration and a commitment to delivering an excellent patient experience.
