Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts with a 7:00 AM start time, varied schedule Monday through Friday
* 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with required call
* Call response time is 30 minutes
* Weekend call required minimally every other weekend from Friday 1530 to Monday 0700
* Average call days including weekends is 12, ranging up to 18 depending on staffing
* Holiday call required on a rotating assignment basis
* Scrub-trained nurse required - circulating skills only will not be considered
* 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Utilize Cerner EMR system
* Hospital provided scrubs
* Average of 8 cases per day
* Perform all cardiac invasive procedures excluding structural heart, including peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, peripheral diagnostics and intervention
* No "dirty" procedures such as PEGs, G-tubes, or nephrostomy tubes
* Facility operates 2 Cath Lab suites
* Charge nurse, Cath Lab/IR Techs, IV team, RT 24/7, and Pharmacy 24/7 support available
* Ventilators used in this unit
* Orientation length depends on skill level, generally 1 to 2 shifts
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates at a Level 2 Trauma designation, providing comprehensive cardiac and interventional radiology services. The facility features a fully equipped Cath Lab with 2 suites and robust 24/7 support services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and an IV team. The organization maintains a strong focus on cardiac care, offering a wide range of invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures in a well-supported clinical environment.
