Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours of 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and night shift hours of 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* No self-scheduling available
* Every other weekend requirement including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for both day and night shifts
* Expected to work holidays in rotation with permanent staff
* First to float to Telemetry and ER for ICU holds
* Patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; CCRN preferred
* EMR system: Cerner PowerChart
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Work with 44 hardwired GE monitors with monitor tech support available
* Administer drips including vasopressors, nitroglycerin, heparin, and others
* Ventilator management required
* Common patient diagnoses include cardiac, PCI, open heart surgery, sepsis, ETOH, stroke, CABG, stents, balloon pumps, cath lab, and craniotomies
* Travelers will not be assigned fresh open heart or craniotomy patients
* Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required, or 2+ years from a large institution
* Prior travel experience preferred
* Hospitalist and intensivist available in-house 24/7
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
* One day of orientation on the ICU unit and one shift on the Telemetry/stepdown unit
* Strong focus on patient satisfaction - skilled, competent, and compassionate care expected

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 44-bed licensed ICU currently utilizing 36 beds, providing comprehensive critical care services. The unit is supported by an in-house intensivist group available 24/7, along with round-the-clock respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. The facility manages a wide range of complex critical care cases and maintains high standards for patient satisfaction and quality of care.
