Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* Required to pick up one additional shift per scheduling period (every 4 weeks)
* May be required to work major holidays
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS
* Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process
* Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed
* Work in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment requiring intensive and continuous mental effort

Facility:

This facility is a large 800-bed inpatient hospital and Level 2 trauma center with stroke accreditation, operating 80 emergency room beds and serving a 500-mile radius. The volume and pace of this environment are comparable to that of a Level 1 trauma center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually. The facility is home to a children's hospital, a robotic surgery institute, a neurosciences institute, and comprehensive heart and cancer services, and is recognized as the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City.
