Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Room

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* Call requirements to be discussed during interview
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* Required to pick up one additional shift during each schedule period (every 4 weeks)
* May be required to work major holidays
* Facility reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty up to 48 hours for low census per 13-week contract, which may be full or partial shifts
* Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process
* Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment
* Coordinate care between other professionals as needed
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS

Facility:

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with 800 inpatient beds and 80 emergency room beds, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually. The facility operates at a volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center and is the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City. The organization is home to a children's hospital, a robotic surgery institute, and offers comprehensive neurosciences, heart, and cancer services, featuring state-of-the-art technologies including Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI.
