Opportunity:

RN - CICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week required
* Alternating weekend schedule
* 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
* RN-only unit with no HUC or PCT support
* ICU experience required
* Must be proficient in titration of vesicant medications and familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
* Experience with ventilators and tracheostomies required
* Telemetry interpretation skills required
* Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation required
* Experience with transvenous pacing and cardioversion required
* Familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance required
* Advanced skills desirable: IABP, Impella, and CRRT
* Equipment used includes ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment
* Documentation system: Cerner
* Travelers float to all areas
* Scrub colors: All navy or navy and white; no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work
* No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated
