Opportunity:

RN - Med-Surg

Job Details:

* Work on a 24-bed Med-Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RN/LVN, 2 aides, and 1 unit clerk
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RN/LVN, and 2 aides
* Must follow a 4-week schedule requiring every other weekend or 2 weekends per schedule
* Holiday work is required
* RTO must be pre-approved
* Telemetry experience required
* Post-op care experience required
* 2 or more years of experience preferred
* PALS and NIH certification preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* EMR system: Meditech Expanse (PCS)
* Perform typical procedures including daily weights, vital signs, intake/output, hourly rounding, bedside report, CBI, cardiac drip, heparin drip, phototherapy, wound care, IV starts, discharge/admit own patients, NGT, and foley care
* Operate equipment including C.O.W.s, BP machines, Doppler, bladder scanner, heating pad, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, sit to stand, traction, SCDs, IV pumps, PCA pump, epidural pump, Ambit pain pump, and KCI & Prevena wound vac
* Float to ICU for Med-Surg overflow patients as needed
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* Ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes initiative, and is a team player
