Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with the possibility of 10-hour shifts
* On-call responsibilities required in addition to scheduled shifts
* Travelers work 12-hour shifts on weekends in rotation with other staff and may be asked to work 8-hour shifts during the week in rotation
* Weekend rotation required at manager's discretion
* Call requirements: 3-4 weeknight call shifts per 4-week period and 1 weekend call shift per 4-week period
* Call response time: 45 minutes
* Must have Level 1 trauma center experience
* Experience scrubbing and/or circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases required
* Experience with trauma, ortho, neuro, cardiac, and ex lap cases required
* Scrubbing not required for RNs but considered a bonus
* Self-scheduling available within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed
* No floating requirements
* Hospital-issued scrubs required
* All travelers required to take the same amount of call as permanent staff
* Charge nurse present on all shifts
* EMR system: EPIC
* Travel experience preferred
* Required certification: BLS

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 trauma center providing acute care services with a large operating room department consisting of 23 suites and an average of 75 cases per day. The facility offers a comprehensive range of surgical services including neurology, orthopedics, trauma, cardiac, and eye cases. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains a structured call center system to ensure consistent coverage across all surgical units.
