Open Position: Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

RT - PICU

Job Details:

* Pediatric ICU level Respiratory Therapist position with every other weekend (EOW) scheduling
* 36 or 48 hour contracts available
* Rotating shifts required, including holidays and during inclement weather
* Weekend coverage required
* Must be able to work at least 50% of holidays that occur during the contract
* Ability to take call required
* Floating is mandatory - may float to PCU, MS, or other units as needed
* 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Cerner charting system experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
* Pending RRT license acceptable; CRT not allowed
* MO or Compact license required to be in hand at start
* Position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
* Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Key skills include pediatric critical care, mechanical ventilation, intubation support, arterial blood gas interpretation, CPAP/BiPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, nitric oxide administration, ECMO, and neonatal/pediatric respiratory procedures
