Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM
* Every-other weekend requirement
* Occasional holiday coverage required
* Patient ratios of 3-4:1
* 33-bed unit with 2 trauma bays and 5 psych/seclusion rooms
* Fast track available
* 125-140 patients seen per day
* Common diagnoses include emergency cases such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and ACS
* Charge nurse available 24/7
* ED technicians, security, IV team, respiratory therapy, and radiology support available 24/7
* Pharmacy available 20 hours per day (7:00 AM to 3:00 AM)
* Ventilator experience required
* Lab draw experience required
* Charting performed in Epic EMR
* Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue (top and bottom)
* One day of floor-specific orientation provided
* Primary placement at St. Joseph Medical Center with potential float requirement throughout Region Two facilities in Lakewood, Enumclaw, and Tacoma, WA
* Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC

This acute care emergency department features a well-equipped 33-bed unit with dedicated trauma bays and psychiatric seclusion rooms to handle a high volume of patients daily. The facility provides comprehensive 24/7 support services including charge nursing, security, and IV team coverage, along with around-the-clock respiratory therapy and radiology. The emergency department is staffed by both physicians and mid-level providers, ensuring robust clinical support for a wide range of emergency cases.
