Opportunity:

RN - Medsurg/Telemetry Stepdown

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts
* 4 weekend shifts required per month
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius per staffing needs
* Travel experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* 2 years of acute hospital experience required
* MedSurg/Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS (preferred)
* Transplant experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Patient ratio experience of 5 patients
* Care for adult and geriatric patients with pre/post transplant conditions including End Stage Renal Disease, End Stage Liver Disease, Diabetes Type 1 & II, Hypertension, and readmission for various complications
* Support kidney, pancreas, liver, and auto-islet transplant patients
* Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
* Monitor vital signs, weight, fluid balance, and graft function
* Administer medications and interpret arrhythmias
* Review and interpret relevant diagnostic and laboratory data
* Knowledge of immunosuppressive agents including mechanism, dosing, interactions, and side effects required
* Familiarity with organ-specific diseases such as ESRD, cirrhosis, and heart failure required
* Special procedures include biopsies of kidney and liver, ERCP, ultrasound, paracentesis, TEE/TTE, and post heart cath
* Utilize lift equipment per Safe Patient Handling protocols
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
