RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Day and night shifts available with shift times of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Rotating weekends with every other weekend required
* Holiday expectations include one major and one minor holiday
* No on-call responsibilities
* Schedule made in 3-week increments
* Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Strong Labor and Delivery experience required including cervical exams, antepartum and labor, amnio infusion, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
* Post-partum experience required including couplet care, mom and baby care beyond transition period, and basic breastfeeding support
* Experience with HUGS Security system and Pyxis required
* EMR experience with EPIC Stork and GE Centricity required
* IV pump experience with Alaris required
* Pyxis medication dispensing experience required
* Patient ratios follow AWHONN and NANN guidelines: 1:1 for active labor, 1:2 for non-active laboring
* Will float between Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby units based on competency
* Will not float to START unit
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring (AWHONN or Relias module)
* Scrubs provided by facility

Facility:

This facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds, offering a comprehensive range of services including Labor and Delivery, a Level II NICU, Mother/Baby unit, Pediatrics, and an OB Emergency Department. The facility also operates a specialized inpatient voluntary addiction medicine treatment program for pregnant women. Support staff includes 24/7 hospitalist coverage, a Laborist OB/GYN, respiratory therapy, and phlebotomy services, ensuring a well-supported environment for patient care.
