Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Sunday through Saturday schedule with weekend coverage required
* Float required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers welcome
* Local candidates accepted
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Epic charting system experience required and must be noted in work history
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; CPI preferred
* Valid California state license required in-hand when applying (EMSA not accepted)
* All required certifications must be in-hand when applying
* Skills required include: telemetry and cardiac telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral and central line care and management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, arterial blood gas interpretation, wound care and wound vac, blood product administration, heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), thrombolytic agents, IV insulin protocols, pre/post cardiac cath and angiogram, post MI care, pacemaker management, CVA and intracranial bleed care, post TPA care, seizure disorder management, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, substance withdrawal, ortho trauma, total joint replacement, traction, surgical drains, chest tubes, isolation precautions and PPE, feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, and chemotherapy monitoring

This facility is a well-established healthcare organization offering a broad range of inpatient services with a dedicated telemetry unit serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams and utilizes Epic as its primary electronic health record system. The facility maintains high standards for nursing competency and requires experienced clinicians comfortable with a wide variety of complex medical and surgical conditions.
