RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Full-time position
* Care for a mix of diagnoses and acuity levels including respiratory, sepsis, and patients with multiple co-morbidities
* Practice independently in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
* Provide routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
* Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
* 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty required
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
* Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
* RN License in the state of TX or compact license required
