Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

* Work in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
* Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 for certain device patients
* Schedule requires 2 weekends per month, 1 summer holiday, and 2 winter holidays
* Free floating charge nurse available to assist staff
* Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
* Student Nurse Externs available on variable shifts to assist with tech duties
* Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADs
* Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, and other procedures on unit
* Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
* Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
* Strong critical care experience including CVICU experience required
* Work with equipment including Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps
* Document using Meditech system
* May float to other ICUs or floors as needed
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Dress code: Black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs with scrub jackets or vests only

The unit is staffed by a strong, experienced team of nurses with excellent teamwork and has an intensivist assigned to the unit 24/7.
