Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with options for 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, or 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM schedules
* Every other weekend rotation required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Holiday availability required as needed
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* First-time travelers are welcome
* Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health cases
* Patient ratio of 1:4 (variable based on patient acuity)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: TNCC, NRP
* Required skills include EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating BiPAP, suture removal, assisting with casting, and vent management
* Charge nurse experience should be noted if applicable
* Charting system: FirstNet
* No floating required
* Two days of hospital orientation including time within the department, followed by one day with a preceptor
* Scrub color: Any color, professional (hospital scrubs available but not required)
* Free parking available on site
* On-site locker/changing room and gym available

This 89-licensed-bed teaching facility operates an 11-bed emergency department that includes 3 trauma ED beds, 1 behavioral seclusion room, and 2 negative pressure rooms. The facility provides comprehensive support services including respiratory therapy, ED providers, mid-level providers, a 24/7 hospitalist, house supervisor, receptionist, and critical care transport team assistance.
