Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac ICU

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
* First to float to telemetry or med/surg units
* 30-bed Cardiac ICU unit with 1:1-2 patient ratios (90% of the time will be 1:2 ratio)
* Self-scheduling with schedules made approximately 6 weeks in advance, subject to manager review and approval
* One day of unit-specific orientation provided
* Charge nurses available and do not take patient assignments
* Hospitalist available in-house 24/7
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
* GE telemetry monitors and ventilators used on unit
* Charting system: Cerner EMR
* Must have recent experience with fresh open heart patients
* Must have experience with mixed ICU patients
* Telemetry, L&D, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs must pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on-site on day one (Pass/Fail)
* Navy scrubs required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* PALS preferred
* Trauma Level 2 facility
* Acute care setting

This acute care facility operates a 30-bed Cardiac ICU and is designated as a Level 2 Trauma Center. The facility provides comprehensive support services including 24/7 hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services. The organization utilizes Cerner EMR and GE telemetry monitoring systems to support high-quality patient care across multiple specialized units including telemetry, med/surg, and critical care.
