Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg/Tele

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Weekend requirement based on unit needs and demands
* Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, with coverage needed on both shifts, especially Christmas 2026
* No on-call or standby requirement, as needed per census
* Patient ratios of 1:4-6 on a 32-bed MedSurg/Tele unit
* Nurse aide ratios of 1:8-16
* Common diagnoses include post-surgical patients: general, orthopedic, urological, gynecological, and medical overflow
* Required to titrate drips including Heparin, blood, and IV fluids
* Only 16 beds are telemetry capable; monitor techs are off-site, RNs validate, read strips, and document
* Floating within scope required for all RNs
* Charting system: EPIC
* 1-2 shift unit-specific orientation coordinated with onboarding process
* Scrub color/dress code: Navy top and bottom
* Minimum 1 year of RN experience required with telemetry experience
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Washington State or Compact nursing license required
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 32-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit on the 5th floor, providing comprehensive care for post-surgical and medical overflow patients. The unit is supported by both a charge nurse and house supervisor, and features telemetry monitoring capabilities for up to 16 beds. The facility maintains a structured cancellation policy and utilizes EPIC as its charting system to support efficient and high-quality patient care.
